The 2011 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation and Test (2011 VLSI-DAT) will be held at the Ambassador Hotel, Hsinchu, Taiwan during April 25-27, 2011 with 2-days overlap with it’s sister conference, the 2011 International Symposium on VLSI Technology, System and Applications (2011 VLSI-TSA). Organized by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and co-sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) on technical and financial aspect separately, both symposia provide excellent opportunities for close interaction between industrial and scientific researchers via presentations on innovations and achievements related to VLSI design, automation and test, also on VLSI technology, system and applications.
Keynote speeches for 2011 VLSI-DAT
K1. Shyue-Ching Lu, Chunghwa Telecom
Topic: Dual Thrusts in ICT innovation: Green and Applications
K2. Charlie Sodini, MIT
Topic: Millimeter-Wave Imaging using Silicon Technology
K3. Wen-Hann Wang, Intel
Topic: Technology Scaling: A System Perspective
Except for the plenary session of 3 outstanding keynote speeches, the 2011 VLSI-DAT also features 1-day tutorial and 2-days program including 2 industrial sessions, 3 special topic sessions, 14 regular sessions and 1 poster session. With solid construction of the technical program, the VLSI-DAT’s aim is to create a platform for technical exchanges and communications shared by experts from all over the world.
Also, in order to stimulate the interactions between the technology and design communities, the executive committees of VLSI-TSA and VLSI-DAT have decided to have both symposia overlapped. During the conference period, delegates registered for any of the two symposia will be able to attend presentations of either one of both symposia. A joint-invited session on Automotive Electronics features speakers from both design and technology field will give penetrating speeches to all the audience in the afternoon of April 26th.
Hsinchu is an historical city located in the northern part of Taiwan. Since the seventeenth century, the immigrants from China have great influences in its economics and culture. Nowadays, Hsinchu, with its Science-based Industrial Park, is well-known for it's world-class foundries, TSMC and UMC and many world-leading fabless IC design companies such as MediaTek, Novatek and Sunplus. It is also characterized by the National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao-Tung University and ITRI, the renowned research institute.
Join us at the 2011 VLSI-DAT to experience vibrant Hsinchu city in which the technology and cultural atmosphere have been harmoniously connected. See you at 2011 VLSI-DAT in Hsinchu !
